The Hills Raiders Basketball Association (HRBA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Corey Ranger as its new General Manager, effective 14 September.
Following a thorough recruitment process, the HRBA Board selected Corey from a competitive field of candidates, recognising his extensive experience and genuine passion for community sport and basketball development.
Corey brings a strong and diverse professional background spanning community sport administration, marketing, club development, and executive governance. His career has equipped him with a proven ability to build thriving sporting communities, develop participation pathways, support coaches and volunteers, and deliver on strategic and commercial priorities.
The HRBA Board expressed its enthusiasm for the appointment, noting that Corey’s skills and values align strongly with the Association’s vision for growth and community impact.
“We are thrilled to welcome Corey to the Hills Raiders family,” said a Board spokesperson. “His experience across sport, marketing, and governance makes him ideally placed to lead our organisation into its next chapter. We look forward to the energy and expertise he will bring to our members, clubs, and stakeholders.”
In his new role, Corey will focus on delivering key strategic priorities for the Association, including:
- Finalising and launching the HRBA 2030 Strategic Plan
- Strengthening community engagement and member experience
- Building development pathways for players, coaches, and clubs
- Growing the Association’s reach, partnerships, and long-term sustainability
Corey himself shared his excitement about joining the organisation:
