The Shire of Mundaring holds an annual “Thank a Volunteer Day” celebration to recognise the enormous value of their volunteers who add to the health and wellbeing of their community. Each volunteer receives a thank you gift and certificate presented by the Shire President. A photo is taken of each presentation.
Bob Little, President of the HRBA, was nominated this year for the volunteer work he has been doing for decades and attended the celebrations on Sunday the 22nd of November.
The following speech was given about Bob, and sums up his dedication and professionalism perfectly:
Bob works unlimited hours as a volunteer in his role to ensure Hills Raiders Basketball is portrayed in a professional and supportive manner to both players and other clubs. Bob is the backbone of the Hills Raiders and continues to oversee the Association grow by encouraging players, coaches and umpires achieve the best of their abilities. Bob has also been a member of the Mundaring Combined Sporting Association for 20 years and has played an instrumental role in campaigning alongside other sporting clubs to achieve the approval, planning and soon to be completed indoor undercover courts in Mundaring for the community.
Congratulations again to Bob for this much deserved honour.
