The 15 Girls team had an excellent run at the State Championships this weekend, making the semi finals, and providing the Hills Raiders supporters who made the trip to the Bendat Basketball Stadium with two days of entertainment.

The team won their first game against the Perth Redbacks (24-30) and then lost a close one to Australind (19-16). They then beat the Stirling Senators (29-22) and only needed to beat the East Perth Eagles to secure themselves a spot in the semi finals. They did that, winning with the smallest of margins (15-14), in a very exciting game.

Unfortunately they lost the semi final to Busselton, who were a tough team. However, the girls put in a fantastic effort to get there winning 3 out of 4 games. Given they have only been training together for a few weeks it is an excellent result and they should all be very proud of themselves.

Congratulations once again to the team and Coach Georgi on a great weekend.
