We are currently seeking support from individuals who wish to volunteer as first aid officers at HRBA fixtured games, squad training sessions, development activities and events.  Our first aid volunteers will provide a general first aid service, with the ability to triage and refer for further medical assistance where necessary.

Our volunteers will receive full training to national competency levels to ensure that they are capable of delivering the appropriate level of care and response.  Volunteers will be rostered on through season fixtures and may be requested to assist at special events, training sessions and player development activities.  If you are keen to be more involved in basketball in the Hills and also develop some great workplace skills please click here to email your interest to HRBA at hillsraiders1@bigpond.com.au.   We look forward to having you join our team.

As a minimum, applicants will be required to:

  • be 16 years of age or older
  • complete an application form
  • Attend the one (1) day induction program
  • commit to volunteering to one (1) game night per month
  • commit to attending training once a month (2.5 hrs)

It is essential that all volunteers have a positive attitude and are keen to help others.   Current nationally accredited first aid qualifications will be highly regarded but not essential.  For those who do not have existing, current qualifications HRBA will provide accredited training to national competency standards and will provide on-going training to all volunteers to ensure that qualifications are maintained and current throughout the duration of their tenure as a HRBA first aid volunteer.  Regular in-house training will also be provided to ensure that volunteers are familiar with venue and sport-specific requirements.

All HRBA first aid volunteers will be covered by the HRBA’s public liability, medical malpractice and professional indemnity insurance.
